Address
A villa, a flower-festooned garden, and the island of Capri. Welcome to Il Merlo: a charming B&B just outside the historic center of Anacapri, the peaceful little town nestled at the foot of Monte Solaro.
Beautifully located, wonderfully welcoming, surprisingly affordable, Il Merlo is just the kind of home-from-home visitors to the island of Capri have been waiting for! The perfect B&B for a quick weekend getaway or a leisurely vacation with the kids, this family-run property is situated in a wonderfully peaceful corner of Anacapri and yet only a short, panoramic bus ride away from Capri's bustling Piazzetta.
If frills don't thrill you, you'll love Il Merlo's no-nonsense ensuite bedrooms, in which the only "gadgets" you'll find are a television and a refrigerator. In the warm summer months, guests are served breakfast outdoors on the B&B's large terrace which, during the day, functions as solarium, complete with comfortable sun loungers.
Just outside the bed and breakfast, there are bus stops from where to catch buses to the center of Anacapri, the Damecuta archaeological site and the Grotta Azzurra. Guests who choose to rent a scooter with which to whizz around the island in total freedom are welcome to park their bike in Il Merlo's car park.
