Live like a local in a historic island home

  1. An authentic island villa in the center of Anacapri
  2. Completely renovated and furnished in 2017
  3. A warm welcome from the Pollio family

Are you looking for a relaxing, stress-free visit to the island of Capri? Then settle in and unwind at Villa Pollio, a friendly family-run guest-house in the center of Anacapri that has just opened its doors to guests this year.

The villa was the Pollio family home for generations, who were known by everyone in town since they owned both the local grocery store and butcher shop. Their traditional island home, with its high vaulted ceilings and whitewashed walls, is located right in the center of Anacapri overlooking the lovely Piazza Cerio. Once, animals for the butcher shop were raised in the adjoining garden, and you can still stop and say hello to Liberato, who has owned and operated his nearby local shop for decades.

Guests are welcomed by Roberta, the youngest member of the Pollio family, together with her partner, Fabio. There are five guest rooms, each with a private bathroom and a few small touches for extra comfort, including mini-fridges and an electric kettle.

All villa guests can relax on the small outdoor terrace with tables and chairs overlooking the town's main square. This is the perfect spot to sip a glass of wine and watch the town comings and goings.

Villa Pollio boasts an excellent location right in the center of Anacapri overlooking the main piazza, and is on a pedestrian street so you won't be bothered by traffic noise. Restaurants, cafès, bakeries, and shops are all just steps away, and the bus stop for routes to Capri is just 50 meters up the lane.

I am utterly disappointed with Villa Pollio Hotel. Due to a force majeure situation, where the island closed because of a water shortage, we were unable to even reach the hotel. Despite this being entirely out of our control, the hotel refused to refund our money. Our interactions with Fabio, the person managing the hotel, were appalling. Not only did he insult us over the phone when we tried to discuss our refund, but he also has a habit of responding to other negative reviews by accusing them of being fake. These reviews are genuine and reflect the truth of our experiences. To make matters worse, we didn't even use his hotel because we couldn't get on the island. Given that we never stayed there, we don't see why he won’t even refund us a little bit. Fabio's behavior is completely unacceptable, and this whole ordeal has been extremely frustrating. We are still fighting to get our money back and warn others to avoid Villa Pollio Hotel. Don't let yourself be scammed and insulted like we were. Find a more reputable place to stay.

The hosts were extremely friendly and were fantastic with giving us tips about where to visit on Capri. The room we had was immaculate with beautiful high ceilings. The location was also brilliant being very central in Anacapri but not noisy. Would love to return.

Lovely and spotless place to stay. It is located in a perfect spot to explore Anacapri. Bathroom is modern and comfortable. We loved our little balcony and the room overall. I would recommend Villa Pollio to any of my loved ones.

The hotel is a nice and cozy B&B well care by the owners . The rooms are smaller than I imagine but still comfortable and nice. The location is great. The breakfast and facilities also very good. I recomende Villa Polio ! One suggestion - install a make up mirror in the bathroom .
